Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years fine dining service experience
  • Knowledge of Italian cuisine
  • Hotel experience preferred
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Must be able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English
  • Must have effective communication skills
  • Ability to work well in stressful and high-pressure environments
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Able to explain ingredients and preparation techniques to guests
  • Discuss daily specials with customers
  • Be detail oriented in all service aspects
  • Recommend meals and suggest wine pairings
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of FORBES standards
  • Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages
  • Set tables according to service standards
  • Answer guest questions about menu selections
  • Communicate with the kitchen about orders, wait times, and special requests
  • Record transactions accurately in the InfoGenesis system
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and dining ware
  • Complete closing duties including restocking and securing premises
  • Present physical checks and process payments accurately
  • Ensure professional appearance and uniform standards
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests per five-star protocol
  • Bus tables and run food when possible
  • Anticipate and address guest service needs proactively
  • Use clear, professional communication
  • Foster positive relationships with team members
  • Adhere to quality and service standards
  • Safely move objects up to 20 pounds
  • Express genuine appreciation to guests
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
  • Adhere to departmental policies
