The role of Fine Dining Server at Five Steakhouse is designed for professionals who are passionate about delivering a polished and anticipatory service. Servers in this role are expected to have comprehensive knowledge of steak varieties, preparation methods, seasonal features, seafood options, and culinary techniques. Additionally, they should be adept at guiding guests through wine selections, craft cocktails, and food and beverage pairings with confidence and sophistication. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year serving experience in upscale or fine dining environment strongly preferred
  • wine knowledge or previous wine service experience preferred
  • food safety certification preferred
  • alcohol awareness certification required (TIPS or equivalent)
  • strong understanding of fine dining service standards and course sequencing
  • ability to articulate menu items, preparation techniques, and beverage pairings
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Execute precise order entry and coordinate seamlessly with culinary and bar teams to ensure flawless timing and course progression
  • maintain awareness of table pacing so service flows smoothly from amuse to dessert
  • present and describe dishes professionally and accurately, highlighting quality, sourcing, and preparation
  • anticipate guest needs, maintain table maintenance standards including water service, crumb clearing, and polished reset
  • uphold impeccable standards of cleanliness, organization, and personal presentation reflective of a luxury dining environment
  • process payments accurately and discreetly while adhering to all food safety and responsible alcohol service standards in accordance with state and company regulations
  • support team members to ensure consistent service excellence across the dining room and perform additional duties as assigned to support overall restaurant operations
