Job Description

The Brigantine Family of Restaurants is a family-owned and operated restaurant group that has been a staple in the San Diego County dining scene since 1969. Known for its diverse portfolio of over 20 restaurants, including The Brigantine, Miguel's Cocina, Ketch Brewing, Ketch Grill and Taps, Topsail, Portside Coffee & Gelato, Dockside, The Fish Market, and Top of the Market, the company prides itself on delivering exceptional guest experiences through a strong culture of teamwork and guest-centered focus. The Brigantine Restaurants value open communication and foster a partnership-oriented work environment that empowers their employees and managers to thrive and succeed collectively. Their mission, “Every Guest Leaves Happy,” embodies their commitment to creating an inviting atmosphere where guests feel at home and staff members find opportunities for personal and professional growth.

The role of Restaurant Manager at The Brigantine Restaurants is critical to maintaining their high standards of service and operational excellence. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring that every facet — from front-of-house to back-of-house operations — runs smoothly and efficiently. This position demands a hands-on leader who excels at coordinating shifts, organizing staff schedules, and delivering superior guest service to maximize guest satisfaction.

You will lead by example, fostering a positive and hospitable environment not only for guests but also for employees. Your responsibilities will include training new and existing staff on proper hospitality techniques and maintaining compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcoholic beverage regulations. Financial oversight is also an integral part of this role, as you will manage payroll and control costs related to labor, food, and beverages. The position offers competitive wages ranging from $65,000 to $72,000 annually, plus bonus potential, along with comprehensive benefits such as paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan, and employee dining discounts.

This role is ideal for an experienced restaurant professional with a passion for hospitality and a strong commitment to guest service. Candidates should demonstrate proven leadership and coaching abilities, possessing the integrity and professionalism required to motivate and develop team members. The Brigantine Restaurants seek an individual with excellent organizational skills and adaptability, ready to take on a flexible schedule that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Joining The Brigantine Family means becoming part of a legacy built on mutual respect, innovation, and a relentless pursuit of excellence in dining experiences, making it a rewarding career opportunity for those dedicated to the art of hospitality.
