We are currently seeking an accomplished and hospitality-driven General Manager to oversee all operational aspects of our fine dining restaurant. The General Manager will be responsible not only for the day-to-day management but also for driving the financial performance through strategic initiatives and fostering a motivated and highly trained team. In this role, the General Manager will set and uphold the highest standards of service, ensuring every guest receives an experience that exceeds expectations. This includes managing VIP clientele with utmost professionalism and actively engaging on the floor during service hours to lead by example. Leadership and team development are essential facets of the position, including recruiting, training, and nurturing a high-performing front-of-house team while cultivating a culture of accountability and hospitality.
Operational responsibilities extend to overseeing the entire restaurant's daily functions, including the dining room, bar, and private events. Collaboration with the Executive Chef is critical to ensuring smooth front-of-house and back-of-house coordination. The General Manager will also uphold strict compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike.
Financial stewardship is another core element of this role, encompassing management of the profit and loss statements, labor costs, food costs, and all operating expenses. The General Manager will utilize strategic planning, upselling techniques, and guest retention programs to drive revenue growth. Analyzing financial reports to identify opportunities for enhancing profitability and implementing effective strategies will be key duties.
Additionally, the General Manager will ensure that the restaurant maintains its brand standards, atmosphere, and overall guest touchpoints. Managing reservations, table assignments, and service flow efficiently will be vital to maximizing operational performance. This role is suited for someone with significant experience in fine dining or upscale hospitality environments, a strong understanding of wine and spirits, and proven leadership capabilities.
