Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in fine-dining or upscale hospitality
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • ability to remain calm under pressure
  • professional appearance and demeanor
  • familiarity with Italian cuisine and wine preferred
  • basic knowledge of reservation management systems

  • previous fine-dining or upscale hospitality experience preferred

  • excellent memory for names and faces

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a genuine, gracious welcome within 30 seconds of arrival
  • manage waitlist, reservations, and seating flow
  • escort guests to tables
  • present menus and introduce the evening's features such as chef's specials and wine pairings
  • assist with special requests
  • maintain a calm and organized entrance area
  • anticipate and resolve guest needs quickly and discreetly
  • coordinate with maitre d', servers, and host team to optimize turnover and preserve dining room ambiance
  • manage phone and in-person reservation inquiries professionally
  • update reservation system accurately
  • uphold dress code and presentation standards
  • ensure menus, place settings, and entrance area are immaculate
  • handle guest concerns with tact, escalate when necessary, and follow up to ensure satisfaction
