We are seeking a polished, warm front-of-house ambassador to join our team at Ventino. This role is pivotal in setting the tone for a truly upscale and welcoming dining experience. As the first point of contact for our guests, the ideal candidate will greet visitors with genuine warmth and grace within 30 seconds of their arrival. They will skillfully manage the flow of guests by handling reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements to ensure a seamless and organized entrance area. This position requires a person who excels in communication, possesses strong organizational skills, and demonstrates calmness under pressure, all while maintaining a poised and professional demeanor.
The front-of-house ambassador will escort guests to their tables, introduce the evening's chef specials and wine pairings, and accommodate special requests discreetly and efficiently. Collaboration with the maitre d', servers, and host team is essential to optimize table turnover and preserve the dining room’s refined ambiance. This role also entails managing reservation inquiries via phone and in-person, updating reservation systems accurately, and consistently upholding our high standards for dress code, presentation, and cleanliness of menus, place settings, and entrance areas.
Guest satisfaction is a top priority; therefore, the ambassador must handle any concerns with tact and diplomacy, escalating issues when necessary and following up to ensure resolution. Prior experience in fine-dining or upscale hospitality environments is preferred, as is familiarity with Italian cuisine and wine. Bilingual skills, particularly in Italian or Spanish, are an added advantage but not mandatory.
