The role of Fine Dining Food Runner at Basalt is integral to the guest experience. The Fine Dining Food Runner ensures that food is delivered swiftly and accurately from the kitchen to the guest tables, maintaining the highest levels of presentation and contributing to the seamless flow of service. As a Fine Dining Food Runner, you will be the crucial link between the kitchen and the guest, handling food with care and attentiveness while providing detailed information about dishes to enhance the dining experience. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food running, serving, or hospitality preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team
- Capacity to maintain attention to detail under pressure
- Ability to stand for extended periods and carry multiple plates simultaneously
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Commitment to maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in food running, serving, or hospitality preferred
- Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties
- Deliver food from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately according to ticket specifications
- Ensure proper presentation and garnishing of dishes prior to delivery
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and servers to ensure correct order execution
- Describe dishes to guests when delivering food, including key ingredients and preparation details
- Assist servers with table maintenance including clearing plates and resetting tables as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and expo areas
- Support proper timing of courses and coordination between kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Assist in running food for multiple tables during peak service periods
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain a professional and polished presence when interacting with guests
- Support opening and closing duties including setup and breakdown of service areas
- Uphold Black Desert Resort's ultra-premium hospitality standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
