Known for its warm hospitality and elevated comfort food, Cheever's Cafe has built a reputation that blends traditional hospitality values with contemporary culinary excellence, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike. As a part of the Good Egg Dining Group, the cafe commits itself to creating multi-generational relationships and memorable dining experiences through dedication to exceptional service and executional excellence. This dedication exemplifies the high standards and values upheld across the group, grounding Cheever's Cafe in a mission to positively impact lives through food and hospitality.
The role of an Expo at Cheever's Cafe is pivotal in maintaining the seamless coordination between the front of house (FOH) and back of house (BOH) operations. Expos ensure that every dish leaving the kitchen meets the highest standards of consistency, presentation, and temperature, which directly affects guests' dining experiences. This position demands an individual who thrives on details, can keep the line running efficiently, and embodies what the cafe defines as Extreme Hospitality. The Expo acts as a final checkpoint for every plate, ensuring accuracy and excellence before service to the guest. Beyond just food quality, the role involves clear, effective communication between service and kitchen teams for smooth operational flow.
Cheever's Cafe invests in its team members through competitive pay, paid time off, health insurance for qualifying full-time staff, and comprehensive training programs. The job comes with significant perks like being closed on major holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Memorial Day, which allows employees quality time off to rest and recharge. Additionally, staff enjoy employee discounts at other Good Egg Dining Group establishments and the prospect of career growth through internal promotions. The company is committed to cultivating a supportive environment where employees can expand their skills and realize their potential.
In summary, the Expo role at Cheever's Cafe is not merely about food inspection—it represents a critical touchpoint that ensures exceptional guest experiences, fosters a collaborative team environment, and upholds the culinary trust and hospitality standards that the restaurant is known for. It requires an individual who communicates effortlessly, manages emergencies with poise, and supports the team dynamically to keep all restaurant operations flowing smoothly. Anyone passionate about hospitality and eager to be part of a deeply respected dining institution will find the Expo position at Cheever's Cafe both rewarding and challenging, offering numerous opportunities to grow within a company that values dedication and excellence in both service and culinary matters.
