Job Description

This opportunity is for a technically skilled and customer-focused individual to join the Finance Division at USC Arcadia Hospital as a Finance Systems Support Specialist. The specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial systems, acting as a liaison between the Finance Division and the Information Systems Department. The role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining Finance systems to ensure the division's smooth operations and effectiveness. The position requires the specialist to assist Finance staff by developing and generating timely reports that support informed decision-making while also providing technical assistance to ensure the efficient operation of finance-related IT applications.

The Finance Systems Support Specialist will be responsible for assessing current processes, intervening as necessary, and evaluating system efficiencies, thereby contributing to ongoing improvements within the Finance Division. The specialist is expected to manage multiple complex assignments simultaneously, often working under pressure with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines. A significant part of this role is maintaining excellent professional communication with patients, physicians, visitors, and hospital employees, upholding the hospital's reputation.

Beyond technical and analytical duties, the Finance Systems Support Specialist acts as a key resource by providing support during special projects and system enhancements. This includes serving as a 'Super User' for the Finance Division, performing testing and verification of system usability enhancements, and ensuring that all Finance personnel are adequately supported in using the systems. This role requires a motivated self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision while also fostering teamwork and a collaborative work culture.

The annual salary range for this position is between $68,640 and $112,370, reflecting the importance and technical nature of the role within the organization.   • Is courteous and attentive to patients, physicians, visitors, employees and any other individuals with whom they may come in contact
  • Maintains and projects Methodist Hospital and the Finance Division’s professional reputation
  • Provides technical IS support to the Finance Division
  • Receives visitors and telephone calls courteously and promptly with special attention to ensure good customer service
  • Respond appropriately to requests and concerns from users or others affected by the system
  • Serves as a “Super User” for Finance Division
  • Supports Finance Division personnel as needed to perform miscellaneous functions and special projects as assigned
  • Tests and verifies usability of system enhancement as needed
