The Financial Coach role at Empower offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the financial wellness and investment planning needs of workplace participants. This position is critical to the company’s growth initiatives, influencing client retention, lifetime value, net promoter score, and asset consolidation and growth objectives. The Financial Coach will primarily focus on providing education, advice, and wellness conversations to assist participants in selecting appropriate financial planning and investment solutions. This role requires proactive management of inbound service queues and appointments while occasionally making outbound calls to maintain an excellent customer experience.

This position operates across different U.S. time zones with specified shifts Monday through Friday. The role demands a strong adherence to compliance and risk management procedures, along with a deep focus on acting in the participant’s best interest. The Financial Coach will have the opportunity to use Empower's proprietary tools and online planning resources to support participants, recommend relevant financial products, and identify opportunities to increase client assets. The base salary range for this role is $58,500 to $72,000 annually, with eligibility for bonuses and incentives depending on individual performance and job classification. Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional work
FINRA 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) registrations required within corporate-established timelines
FINRA fingerprinting required
ability to manage multiple priorities
strong communication and consultative skills
availability to work Monday-Friday shifts according to specified time zones
reliable high-speed internet with wired connection for remote work
suitable home workspace with limited disruptions
willingness to follow compliance and risk procedures
ability to work primarily on a computer and communicate by phone
limited, infrequent travel may be required

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional work
FINRA 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) registrations required within corporate-established timelines
FINRA fingerprinting required
demonstrated success in performance roles or similar experience
experience managing multiple priorities and handling stressful situations and customer interactions consistently
consultative skills to understand needs and present customer-focused solutions
working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and ability to learn new technology systems
suitable at-home space to focus on work and be on camera in meetings
previous experience in inbound and outbound phone roles

Job Duties

Primarily focuses on education, advice, and wellness conversations to help participants choose appropriate financial planning and investment options
works with participants enrolled in in-plan managed account offerings at times of high volumes
uses online planning tools and conversation guides to enhance conversations and experiences
provides direct advice using Empower's proprietary financial planning tools and helps customers adopt solutions in their best interests
primarily manages inbound queues and appointments to ensure critical service timeframes and customer experiences
is comfortable making outbound calls as needed
adheres to compliance and risk procedures and exhibits detailed attention to policy and procedures by focusing on the participant's best interest
identifies, executes and follows up on opportunities to contract additional client assets while providing client retirement planning discussions
meets monthly performance expectations and implements coaching to achieve goals
advances career through internal development opportunities
