Job Description

This respected, multi-location hospitality group, based in San Francisco, is renowned for its award-winning approach to modern Italian cuisine and exceptional hospitality. The company operates several upscale restaurant locations, each offering an inviting dining experience complemented by private event spaces ranging from intimate private dining rooms to full venue buyouts. With a solid reputation for culinary excellence and dedicated customer service, this restaurant group has become a staple in the local dining scene, attracting food enthusiasts and event planners alike. The group's commitment to quality extends beyond cuisine to a well-structured business model that supports growth and operational excellence across all its venues.

The Finance Manager role at this upscale restaurant group is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing the financial operations across the entire portfolio. This role offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 plus bonus potential, reflecting the importance of financial leadership within the company. The Finance Manager will be at the forefront of financial planning, reporting, and analysis, ensuring that the company's fiscal health is maintained and optimized to support both current operations and future expansion.

Key responsibilities include managing the ongoing relationship with the company's accounting and finance platform, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies. The Finance Manager acts as the internal financial point of contact, working closely with various departments to identify and troubleshoot reporting issues and escalating when necessary. The role demands meticulous preparation and timely delivery of weekly profit and loss statements, monthly financial reports, and cash flow forecasts.

Building and maintaining detailed financial models for revenue, labor, and cost of goods sold across multiple dining concepts is a critical part of this role. These models support forecasting efforts that allow leadership to make informed decisions regarding growth opportunities. The Finance Manager will also develop rolling forecasts, scenario analyses, and cash flow projections that provide actionable insights into the company's financial performance.

Annual budgeting is another crucial responsibility, requiring coordination across departments to set targets, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Regular financial performance reviews with leadership help department heads better understand and manage their budgets, fostering a culture of financial ownership and accountability.

The Finance Manager will work cross-functionally with operations, culinary, beverage, events, human resources, legal, and ownership teams to support cost control measures, compensation planning, compliance efforts, contract negotiations, and capital investment decisions. This role demands not only strong financial acumen but also strategic insight and excellent communication skills to bridge financial data with business goals.

This position offers excellent growth potential, a supportive work environment, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, vacation, 401k with company match, and bonus opportunities. It is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with hospitality or multi-unit food and beverage experience looking to advance their career in an innovative and well-established restaurant group.
