As a Final Mile Driver, you will be responsible for the entire delivery process from load to unload, including inspection and documentation. You will perform frequent lifting, pulling, and carrying of freight, which requires physical stamina and attention to safety protocols. Your responsibilities extend beyond transportation to include careful inspection of your vehicle before, during, and after trips to ensure its safe operating condition. The role demands a keen eye for detail—reviewing shipping papers to confirm the nature of loads and ensuring that all required shipment documentation accompanies deliveries.

This position offers a competitive pay rate ranging from $30.30 to $33.40 per hour, rewarding skilled drivers for their expertise and reliability. Additionally, the role is structured as a first-shift schedule, providing a consistent work routine. Drivers will have the opportunity to grow within the company by entering Southeastern’s Driver Trainee Program after successfully completing one year in this role.

Applicants must meet specific requirements including being at least 21 years old, holding a High School Diploma or GED, and maintaining a valid Driver’s License. The ability to pass background checks and drug and alcohol tests is mandatory, ensuring the safety and trustworthiness of the person behind the wheel. A minimum of six months driving experience, including personal vehicle operation, is required.

Southeastern prefers candidates with experience using pallet jacks, loading and unloading freight, and driving box trucks. Prior delivery driver experience or a CDL B license is also advantageous.
