Job Description
Ryder is a leading logistics and transportation solutions company known for its expansive fleet and commitment to delivering reliable, efficient, and high-quality services across multiple sectors. Specializing particularly in transportation, supply chain management, and last mile delivery solutions, Ryder has been an industry trailblazer for decades. The company focuses on optimizing delivery systems to ensure timely and safe transport of goods, catering to businesses of various sizes. Their extensive network supports a wide range of delivery needs, and with the growing demand for final mile delivery services, Ryder Last Mile has established itself as a critical part of the supply chain process, aiming to provide superior customer service for last mile deliveries. This segment of Ryder’s operations is dedicated to the delivery and installation of products directly to consumers’ homes, emphasizing white glove service to meet high customer expectations.
Ryder Last Mile is currently seeking to expand its final mile delivery carrier network by partnering with carriers interested in contracting for furniture delivery and installation. This role involves handling in-home deliveries requiring white glove assembly, ensuring the safe and secure installation of furniture products in customers’ residences. The opportunity is contract-based, appealing to carriers who operate independently and possess the necessary resources and expertise to fulfill these specialized delivery and installation tasks. Compensation is competitive and varies depending on the number of daily routes completed, offering potential for significant earnings aligned with carrier performance. Key to this role is the operation of a two-person team to facilitate efficient, safe, and professional service.
Contract carriers will benefit from weekly settlements and consistent payment processing within 7 days, promoting reliable cash flow and financial planning. Ryder offers an established customer base with consistent routing, which reduces downtime and helps carriers maintain steady work. Additionally, carriers will have access to discounts on Ryder truck rentals, making vehicle management more cost-effective and enhancing operational efficiency. This position presents a high-growth potential as Ryder continues to expand its last mile delivery services, providing opportunities for increased business volume and long-term collaborations.
This role requires carriers to provide their own 26-foot white box truck equipped with a lift gate, free of any advertisements, and maintain insurance coverage meeting Ryder’s standards to protect both the carrier and the company. Candidates must also have final mile install experience and operate as an LLC or corporation. A background check and motor vehicle check are mandatory to successfully join the network. Ryder emphasizes professionalism, safety, and customer satisfaction at every step of service delivery, ensuring each installation is conducted with meticulous attention to detail and care. Overall, this contract position offers a promising avenue for carriers skilled in furniture delivery and installation to partner with a reputable leader in the logistics industry, with structured support and an emphasis on quality service delivery.
