Paid time off is earned and grows with tenure, reflecting the company’s dedication to work-life balance.
The role of a Host within the restaurant segment at PENN Entertainment is a vital position focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences. Hosts act as the welcoming face for guests entering the restaurant, ensuring each visitor feels valued and attended to from the moment they arrive. Responsibilities include seating guests according to rotation requirements, maintaining accurate seating and reservation documentation, and monitoring table availability efficiently to ensure smooth restaurant operations. Hosts contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe dining environment by assisting with sanitation and cleanliness duties in compliance with health standards. Supporting wait staff and bus persons by refilling beverages or pre-busing tables is also part of the role, highlighting the collaborative nature of the work environment.
A host’s interaction with guests goes beyond seating arrangements; they also provide information on current casino events and programs, guiding guests to various casino areas, thereby enhancing the overall guest experience. The role demands a professional appearance and the ability to work in a fast-paced, often noisy environment with bright lights and sometimes constrained spaces. Physical mobility and the capability to perform tasks such as pushing, pulling, carrying, lifting up to 100 lbs, and various movements including bending, stooping, and crouching are essential to succeed in this position.
This position requires individuals who are at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering superior customer service. PENN Entertainment values team members who bring enthusiasm, professionalism, and teamwork to create memorable entertainment experiences for guests. Joining PENN Entertainment means becoming part of an innovative company that is changing the entertainment landscape while supporting its employees’ growth and well-being.
