This new format is designed to redefine excellence in the world of football, generating unique opportunities for enhanced participation and engagement from fans and players alike across North America and around the globe. Underpinned by a vision to deliver an extraordinary and unforgettable experience, FIFA26 is assembling a dynamic workforce to plan and execute this monumental event. The FIFA Fan Operations Venue Coordinator is a fixed-term contract position based onsite in Seattle. Reporting directly to the FIFA Fan Operations Venue Lead, the Venue Coordinator plays a crucial role within the FIFA26 Fan Operations team. This position is responsible for overseeing the smooth execution of fan services operations at match day venues, ensuring a positive, efficient, and seamless experience for fans attending the tournament. The role requires close collaboration with FIFA Headquarters, various departments, and key stakeholders to implement fan-focused initiatives and promptly resolve operational challenges.
As a central point of contact for the Fan Operations Venue Lead, the Venue Coordinator manages key personnel including Gate Supervisors and volunteers, overseeing their deployment, briefing, and equipping them with the necessary operational tools. The Coordinator ensures that critical event and venue information reaches fans and staff through multiple communication channels and coordinates with specific services such as Audio Descriptive Commentators and Accessibility teams to uphold high standards of mobility and accessible services. Additional responsibilities include managing restricted item storage areas within stadiums and ensuring the maintenance and deployment of company assets and equipment. A key part of the role involves proactive collaboration with other departments to identify and solve potential issues during the events. This role demands not only superb organizational and leadership skills but also the ability to adapt quickly to dynamic situations and deliver excellent crowd management under pressure.
FIFA26 values accountability, decision making, inclusivity, initiative, innovation, leadership, and vision — qualities that the ideal candidate will embody. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining positive professional relationships across diverse teams. The role requires experience in event management or operations, public speaking competencies, and leadership experience, particularly managing part-time staff or volunteers. Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in Spanish or French will be considered an asset. Proficiency in MS Office applications and planning software is also essential for success.
The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $28 (based on Washington state regulations) and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, life insurance, and a 401k retirement plan. This is an incredible opportunity to be part of a once-in-a-lifetime sporting event and contribute significantly to delivering an extraordinary fan experience in a high-profile global tournament.
