The role of the FIFA Fan Operations Venue Coordinator plays a pivotal part in the successful delivery of the FIFA World Cup 26. This position is integral to the Fan Operations team, reporting directly to the FIFA Fan Operations Venue Lead. As a Venue Coordinator, the individual will handle a wide array of responsibilities focused on enhancing the fan experience at the event venues. This is a fixed-term contract role based onsite in Philadelphia and promises dynamic, fast-paced work in a global event setting. The coordinator will act as the liaison point for fan services operations and oversee vital functions such as managing gate supervisors, deploying and briefing volunteers, and ensuring seamless information dissemination to fans and staff.

In addition, the Venue Coordinator supervises critical operational areas within the stadium, such as restricted item storage and collaborates closely with the accessibility team to guarantee that all mobility and accessible services meet high standards. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, proactive problem-solving, and leadership abilities to manage diverse teams effectively. The position requires collaboration across departments to identify and resolve potential challenges, thus supporting the provision of smooth and satisfying fan interactions throughout the event.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in event management and/or operations roles
  • Experience working and collaborating with large teams
  • Public speaking experience
  • Leadership experience, specifically with part time staff and/or volunteers a plus
  • Fluent in English
  • Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools

Job Duties

  • Serve as a point of contact for the FIFA Fan Operations Venue Lead on all Fan Services Operations
  • Manage the Gate Supervisors ensuring they are briefed, and have the operational equipment required
  • Responsible for the deployment, briefing and overall management of the Fan Operations volunteers
  • Ensure that critical event and venue information is available to fans and staff through multiple channels
  • Coordinate with Audio Descriptive Commentators
  • Oversight of the Restricted Item Storages located across the stadium
  • Work alongside the Accessibility team to ensure all mobility and accessible services are delivered to a high standard
  • Responsible for the maintenance and deployment of company assets and equipment
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and solve any potential issues
  • Other duties as assigned by Fan Operations Venue Lead
