About the Role: The FIFA Fan Operations Gate Supervisor plays a critical role within the FIFA26 Fan Operations team. Reporting directly to the Fan Operations Venue Lead, this position focuses specifically on the match day management of gate operations at one of the World Cup venues. The Gate Supervisor is responsible for overseeing assigned Fan Operations volunteers, ensuring effective coordination of deployments and breaks, and maintaining volunteer welfare. A key aspect of the role is to be the first point of contact for volunteers’ questions and concerns, ensuring smooth communication between the volunteers and operational leadership.
This position requires a highly organized, proactive individual who can handle the demands of a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, such as a World Cup match day. The Gate Supervisor monitors crowd flow, ensures adherence to security and access control procedures, and collaborates closely with security, operations, and management teams to continually enhance gate operations processes. Effective communication with fans, vendors, and stakeholders is essential to swiftly resolve issues and maintain positive relationships.
Candidates must demonstrate leadership and decision-making abilities, showing accountability and initiative in critical situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital, as well as familiarity with security best practices and regulations. The role demands availability for all matches at the assigned venue, with a fixed-term contract employment type based onsite in Kansas City.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 2 years in supervisory role in gate services or related area
- Must be available for all matches at the venue
- Proven experience managing teams and volunteers
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to handle challenging situations professionally
- Familiarity with security procedures
- Fluent in English
- Proficiency in MS Office and collaboration tools
- Onsite work availability in Kansas City
- Fixed term contract employment type
