Job Description

Fieldwork Brewing Company is a renowned independent craft brewery that was founded in Berkeley, California in 2015. Over the past several years, Fieldwork has carved out a distinguished reputation for its honest and exceptional approach to beer making. The company is known not only for its innovative and ever-rotating lineup of fresh, award-winning brews but also for cultivating community-driven taprooms throughout Northern California. These taprooms provide guests with an inviting environment that pairs their extraordinary beer offerings with thoughtful and attentive hospitality. The mission of the company centers around creating spaces that celebrate craftsmanship, community, and a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.

The Mission Rock Taproom is Fieldwork Brewing Company's newest venture, located in the vibrant and rapidly developing waterfront neighborhood of Mission Rock in San Francisco. As the latest addition to Fieldwork's family of establishments, this taproom features a full kitchen and an extensive taplist showcasing a diverse selection of fresh beers. The company is especially proud of this location as it represents an exciting opportunity to build a new hospitality experience from the ground up. For this reason, Fieldwork Brewing Company is currently looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join their team as Fieldwork Associates.

This role is ideal for those who have a passion for hospitality and enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Fieldwork Associates at the Mission Rock Taproom will be responsible for delivering top-notch guest service, engaging directly with customers, and supporting both front-of-house operations and kitchen activities. The company values team-oriented individuals who anticipate guest needs before being asked and strive to create memorable experiences for every visitor.

Since this is a founding team position at a brand new taproom, successful candidates will have the unique opportunity to shape the establishment's culture, customer service standards, and overall guest experience. Team members who join prior to and during the grand opening will gain valuable tenure and institutional knowledge, serving as key contributors to the taproom's early success. Fieldwork Brewing Company also emphasizes career growth from within; therefore, dependable team members who demonstrate leadership and reliability may be considered for future Shift Manager roles as the taproom matures.

Employment is available on both a part-time and full-time basis, with a competitive hourly rate starting at $19.61, plus additional tip income that varies depending on shift and business volume through a pooled tip system. This compensation structure reflects the company's commitment to rewarding excellent service and dedication. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, have legal authorization to work in the United States, and be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the hospitality industry. Prior experience in similar environments such as bars, restaurants, breweries, or wineries is preferred but not mandatory. Additionally, possession of or the ability to obtain a California Food Handler Card and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification is necessary.

This position promises a stimulating work environment where professionalism, teamwork, and a passion for craft beer are highly valued. Fieldwork Brewing Company offers a vibrant and inclusive workplace culture that supports employee growth and satisfaction. Join the Mission Rock Taproom team to be part of a pioneering group that is not only brewing excellent beer but also crafting an exceptional place for community connection and hospitality in one of San Francisco's most exciting neighborhoods.
