The role of the Fieldwork Associate is central to the smooth operation of this taproom. This part-time, non-exempt position pays $19.18 per hour along with additional income derived from a pooled tip system, which fluctuates with shift and business volume. The ideal candidate will be someone enthusiastic about providing outstanding guest service and supporting both front-of-house and food service operations. This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a collaborative team environment. Whether greeting guests, managing orders through the POS system, running food and beverages, or assisting with prep work in the kitchen, the Fieldwork Associate embodies the spirit of thoughtful hospitality and community engagement.

Fieldwork Associates must have a genuine interest in craft beer and hospitality, as they are expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s current beer selections, food options, and allergen information. Additionally, strict adherence to Responsible Beverage Service and ABC alcohol regulations, along with maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, is essential.

Physical requirements include the ability to lift between 25 and 50 pounds and the stamina to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. Employees are also expected to participate in daily cleaning and prep tasks, complete side work, and assist with shift coverage as needed, making flexibility a valuable trait.
