This full-time role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the molding process to meet production schedules and quality standards efficiently. As a Process Technician, the individual will take charge of directing daily operations to align with planned production goals, assigning tasks to operators, planning workloads, training employees on critical safety and operational standards, and implementing process changes with clear communication. The position involves technical skills such as performing job changeovers, installing dies safely on machines, managing raw material inventory, and preparing materials through blending, mixing, or drying as per documented parameters.
Quality assurance is a fundamental aspect of the position where the technician performs in-process inspections and ensures that all products meet quality specifications according to established Quality Assurance Plans. Job Duties
- Start up injection molding machines and equipment at start of shift
- ensure jobs are running at steady state within appropriate cycle times and meeting quality standard before turning over to operators
- direct daily operations to achieve planned production schedule
- assign operators to jobs/tasks, plan daily workload, and fill in roles as required
- relieve operators for scheduled breaks as needed
- train department employees on safety, quality, and operating procedures
- communicate and document all process changes clearly
- perform job changeovers according to standard work procedures and checklists
