The Field Technician role at Ecolab, based in Louisville, KY at the Kentucky Truck Plant, presents a unique opportunity for technically skilled individuals passionate about customer interaction and autonomous, hands-on work environments. This position primarily focuses on monitoring and maintaining air and water quality systems related to the paint booth at an automotive manufacturing site. The Field Technician supports critical operational processes by troubleshooting, testing, and ensuring system integrity to prevent downtime and improve customer satisfaction. The role demands technical proficiency in process application quality analysis, chemistry testing, usage of diagnostic tools like Fluke meters, and expertise in detecting air and fluid leaks. Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite

Job Qualifications

- Experience working independently in an industrial setting
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
- Previous experience in industrial wastewater treatment or maintenance
- Mechanical problem-solving experience, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and/or mechanical experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Proven ability to interface positively and professionally with customers
- Ability to analyze readings and put data in a spreadsheet logically
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience explaining results of data gatherings
Job Duties
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot the facility and its processes in accordance with established procedures
- Perform testing on lab samples, analyze and record results and data in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
- Perform daily process application quality analysis using small intricate parts
- Provide routine and special application service support to customers
- Execute required chemistry tests
- Log and report data
- Maintain product inventories
- Provide technical support to customers
- Troubleshoot and maintain systems as needed
- Use a Fluke meter to check sensitivity
- Operate a test stand verifying air and fluid leaks
