Job Description

Benco Dental is the largest privately owned, full-service dental distributor in the United States, proudly family owned since 1930. With a legacy spanning over 90 years, Benco has grown to include more than 40,000 customers and over 1,500 associates across the 48 contiguous states. The company offers an extensive range of dental supply and equipment options, setting the industry standard with a comprehensive suite of solutions. Beyond supplying products, Benco enhances dental practice operations by providing office design, equipment repair, practice coaching, financing, project management, wealth management, and dental-specific technology solutions. Supported by over 400 professionally trained sales representatives and 300 factory-trained service technicians, Benco Dental focuses on a customer-first approach, beginning every task with the question, "What does the customer want?"

The company cultivates a progressive workplace culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. It provides numerous opportunities for career growth and development, encouraging driven professionals to play an instrumental role in the company's ongoing success and continuing mission to Drive Dentistry Forward. Benco Dental guarantees a supportive and caring family atmosphere, which has earned certification from FORTUNE as a Great Place to Work. The company offers attractive compensation packages, robust benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage effective on day one, 401k retirement plans, profit sharing, paid time off, associate discounts, and community engagement programs. These benefits are designed to foster both professional and personal well-being for all associates.

The Field Service/Installation Technician role at Benco Dental is a critical position responsible for delivering hands-on technical support to customers across the field. As an independent team player, the technician embodies the core value of being customer-focused, providing solutions that go beyond repairs and routine maintenance. This role demands excellent problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and strong communication capabilities to train both staff and customers on equipment usage. The technician travels frequently to various customer sites, often working in tight spaces and handling physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and manual dexterity operations.

This role does not require prior experience in bio-medical or dental device repairs exclusively; relevant experience in mechanical, technical, electrical, software/hardware, pneumatics, HVAC, military, or customer service sectors is highly valued. The position offers a competitive base pay range of $23.00 to $27.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience, with additional opportunities for bonuses, profit sharing, and paid time off. This is a field-based, territory-driven role that operates remotely without the need for consistent reporting at a physical Benco location. Candidates who thrive in dynamic environments and are eager to contribute to a highly respected family-owned company that has been an industry leader for decades are encouraged to apply.
