The company culture emphasizes safety, continuous learning, and teamwork, fostering an environment where employees are encouraged to grow professionally and contribute to meaningful projects that impact countless industrial operations.
The role of Field Service Technician - Industrial Weighing at Carlton Industrial Solutions is pivotal. This hands-on, field-based position is designed for individuals who enjoy working independently and solving complex technical problems on-site. The technician ensures that industrial weighing equipment functions accurately and safely—a critical requirement for many industrial customers who depend on precise measurements to control processes and maintain compliance. The technician performs a variety of tasks including preventative maintenance, calibrations, repairs, and installations. This role requires technical proficiency across mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems and a robust understanding of the “Science of Weighing.” Responsibilities also include detailed documentation of service activities, clear communication with customers about service outcomes and maintenance plans, and collaboration with internal teams to support customer relationships and identify opportunities for service improvement or upgrades.
This is a dynamic position suited for someone who thrives in changing work environments, enjoys learning new technologies, and values delivering top-tier customer service. Technicians are expected to adhere strictly to all safety policies and protocols, maintain their tools and company equipment, and participate in on-call rotations and occasional overtime to meet the demands of customers. The company supports its technicians with a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) plans; boot and tool allowances; and a company service vehicle. There is also a strong emphasis on professional development and career growth within the organization, providing employees with ongoing training and clear pathways for advancement. This role is full-time and based primarily in the field, requiring travel to various customer locations, approximately 25% of the time or possibly more depending on business needs. The position demands physical ability to handle heavy equipment, work in diverse and sometimes challenging industrial environments, and comply with rigorous safety standards. Carlton Industrial Solutions is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity, inclusion, and safe work practices.
