Job Description

Liberty Mutual Insurance is a leading global insurer committed to helping people preserve and protect what they earn, build, and own. With a strong heritage in insurance and a forward-thinking culture, Liberty Mutual provides a wide range of insurance products and services to individuals and businesses. As a Fortune 100 company, the organization is well recognized for its innovative approach, commitment to customer service, and a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and professional growth. The company prides itself on fostering a workplace environment where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive in their roles, crafting an inclusive culture that supports everyone's success.

The Field Property Claims Adjuster role at Liberty Mutual Insurance is designed for professionals who are passionate about helping customers navigate the stressful and often complex claims process after property damage. This position is a dynamic, hands-on role ideally suited for individuals who enjoy variety and direct engagement with clients on a daily basis. The adjuster will travel locally within Lexington, KY (40504) and surrounding areas to inspect properties, assess damage firsthand, and provide empathetic support to policyholders. The role includes investigating claim details, managing complex coverage issues, and working directly with homeowners to ensure they receive the appropriate compensation and assistance.

This position primarily involves working in the field, traveling to homes, and engaging in thorough damage assessments, which might include inspecting roofs, attics, basements, and crawl spaces. The role requires balancing moderate to complex claims independently from initial contact through to claim resolution. Adjusters will also collaborate with various vendor services such as contractors, emergency repair teams, and cleaning services to facilitate repairs and replacements. Occasionally, the adjuster may be called upon to assist during catastrophe events, which require increased responsiveness and support.

Liberty Mutual supports the Field Property Claims Adjuster with a robust five-month training program comprising virtual instruction, on-the-job learning, and two brief in-person sessions held in Lewisville, TX. The company provides mileage reimbursement and may offer a company vehicle once mileage thresholds are met, reflecting the extensive travel required. This role is well suited for professionals who enjoy independent work, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and have a foundational understanding of building construction principles.

Liberty Mutual’s compensation strategy for this role reflects competitive market rates and offers potential for growth and additional earnings through commissions and bonuses based on performance and other factors. More than just a job, this position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in customers' lives during challenging times with an organization that values integrity, innovation, and inclusion. Employees benefit from comprehensive healthcare, professional development opportunities, and a culture committed to diversity and well-being, making it an excellent choice for those seeking a rewarding career in insurance claims adjustment.
