Job Description
Scale is a pioneering technology company dedicated to accelerating the development of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the world. Recognized for its innovative approach to AI, Scale primarily serves organizations looking to harness the power of AI across various sectors. With a mission focused on rapid AI advancement, Scale is expanding its footprint within the public sector, particularly engaging with U.S. Federal Government clients. As a company, Scale emphasizes collaboration, strategic innovation, and measurable impact, preparing itself as a leader in transforming AI applications on a global scale.
The role of Events & Field Marketing Manager within Scale's U.S. Federal Government team represents a critical position that blends event management with strategic marketing and public sector expertise. This role is designed for a dynamic professional who will lead and execute a wide array of event programs and field marketing initiatives tailored to federal markets. The position involves managing third-party trade show sponsorships, Scale-hosted executive dinners, meetups, happy hours, and practitioner events culminating in the flagship AI Leadership Summit hosted annually by Scale. By engaging with commercial business units and enterprise customers, this role bridges public and private sector marketing efforts, elevating brand presence and fostering vital industry connections.
Central to the role is the management of event logistics from inception to delivery. The successful candidate will oversee planning and coordination for high-impact federal executive dinners, government practitioner meetups, and sponsored trade shows aimed at accelerating sales pipelines and boosting lead generation. Working collaboratively with the Federal team leadership and the business development team, this role prioritizes event locations and target audiences strategically aligned with the company's revenue goals. Event production firms, vendors, and contractors will be managed directly, alongside careful budget allocation and financial oversight.
Additionally, the Events & Field Marketing Manager will integrate with growth marketing departments to align campaigns and ensure marketing qualified lead reporting is accurately tracked using Salesforce. This role entails detailed performance tracking of event campaigns measuring ROI, results, and event metrics, underpinning data-driven decision-making processes.
The manager will also take ownership of Scale’s annual federal conferences and assist in supporting the AI Governance and Policy segment of the AI Leadership Summit, demonstrating a strong capacity for content curation, speaker engagement, agenda scheduling, and delivering a seamless hybrid in-person and remote event experience. The opportunity to represent Scale at prestigious venues such as the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland further underlines the seniority and strategic nature of this position.
Candidates should have a deep understanding of the federal government market and be equipped with strong project management skills, superior communication abilities, and a proactive mindset. The role demands up to 50 percent travel, underscoring the requirement for flexibility and dedication to on-site event execution.
Compensation for this position includes a competitive base salary, equity options, and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, learning and development stipends, generous paid time off, and possible commuter stipends. The exact salary will depend on location, qualifications, and experience, determined through the interview process. Overall, this role is positioned at the nexus of AI innovation and public sector engagement, offering a unique chance to shape the future of AI through strategic event and marketing leadership at Scale.
