The Opportunity for Field Leader at Chipotle presents a dynamic and challenging role where outstanding leadership is essential. The company is growing rapidly, opening a new restaurant every two days and looking for excellent leaders capable of overseeing multiple restaurant locations. Field Leaders are instrumental in cultivating strong partnerships with restaurant managers while ensuring the smooth operation and excellent performance of each restaurant under their purview. This role requires a professional with expertise in business areas such as profit and loss management, food safety, sales forecasting, and staffing. Leaders in this position play a key role in developing and mentoring restaurant teams, fostering a food safety-first culture, and maintaining a focused approach on delivering superior guest experiences. They are hands-on team players who lead by example and can step in to assist during peak times or challenging situations.

This full-time leadership position offers a competitive base pay range between $75,000 and $106,500 annually. In addition to the base salary, Field Leaders are eligible for quarterly bonuses and annual equity awards based on performance metrics. Chipotle provides an outstanding benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, sick leave, vacation time, tuition assistance covering select degrees fully or up to $5,250 annually, paid time off, holiday closures, and the option of a company car or mileage reimbursement. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in multi-unit restaurant leadership
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language(s) of the work location
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and operational procedures
  • Willingness to travel frequently between multiple restaurant locations
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Valid driver's license for travel between locations

Job Qualifications

  • Previous multi-unit restaurant experience
  • Strong business knowledge including P&L management, food safety, sales forecasting, and staffing
  • Ability to foster and maintain a food safety culture
  • Experience in team development and leading through others
  • Effective communication skills in the primary language(s) of the work location
  • Demonstrated commitment to guest experience and operational excellence
  • Friendly and enthusiastic attitude

Job Duties

  • Oversee multiple restaurant locations and ensure operational excellence
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with restaurant managers
  • Manage profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities including sales forecasting and staffing
  • Foster and ensure a food safety-first culture across restaurants
  • Train, validate, and support employees on key operational elements
  • Lead and develop teams with a focus on people development and guest experience
  • Assist in restaurant operations as needed to support teams during peak times or challenges
