Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a recognized leader in the fast-casual dining sector, known for its commitment to serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked real food made with wholesome ingredients free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Founded on the principles of simplicity, sustainability, and quality, Chipotle is reshaping the fast-food experience by prioritizing food integrity and customer satisfaction. The company operates a significant number of restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, owning and managing all its locations in North America and Europe, which allows it to maintain rigorous standards for food quality and guest services.

As an innovative brand, Chipotle is not only a pioneer in digital ordering and sustainable business practices but also values cultivating a better world through efforts that support the future of farming and food systems. Chipotle's dedication extends beyond its food offerings, fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within its workforce, ensuring a positive and empowering environment for all employees. The company’s focus on high-impact leadership and strong teamwork creates an engaging atmosphere that propels both employee development and exceptional guest experiences.

The Field Leader role at Chipotle presents a unique opportunity for experienced multi-unit restaurant professionals passionate about leading teams and managing operations across multiple locations. As Chipotle is expanding rapidly—opening a new restaurant every two days—the Field Leader is critical to supporting this growth, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering meaningful collaborations with restaurant managers. This position requires a leader with a strong understanding of profit and loss (P&L) management, food safety standards, sales forecasting, staffing, and the ability to actively cultivate and maintain a food safety-first culture.

The Field Leader is expected to have a laser focus on the guest experience, a commitment to developing restaurant teams through effective training and validation, and the ability to effectively communicate in the primary language(s) of the work location. Furthermore, those who thrive in this role possess a friendly, enthusiastic attitude, are team players ready to step in and support where needed, and share a passion for people development and leadership through others.

This is a full-time position offering competitive compensation with a base pay range between $79,000 and $112,000 annually, subject to variation based on experience, skill level, and education. In addition to the base salary, Field Leaders are eligible for quarterly cash bonuses and annual equity awards linked to performance. The comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan, paid time off, holiday closures, tuition assistance covering up to 100% for select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, opportunities for career advancement, as well as company car or mileage reimbursement. Chipotle’s work environment is collaborative and forward-thinking, making it a great place to grow professionally while contributing to a mission that values quality food, sustainable practices, and community involvement.
