Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is a leading fast-casual restaurant company committed to cultivating a better world by serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food. Established with a mission to make better food accessible to everyone, Chipotle distinguishes itself from typical fast-food chains by emphasizing quality ingredients and sustainable business practices. With restaurants in several countries including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle is unique in owning and operating all of its locations across North America and Europe, allowing the company to maintain stringent quality and operational standards. Chipotle takes pride in its innovative approach, leading the way in digital technology and sustainability within the food industry, continually shaping the future of farming and food.

At the heart of Chipotle’s success is its dedication to fostering a workplace that treats all individuals with respect, values diversity and inclusion, and offers fair employment practices. The company is a values-driven and people-first organization, creating opportunities for growth and development for its employees while ensuring a collaborative and supportive environment. Chipotle is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to accommodating individuals with disabilities throughout the hiring process, further demonstrating its commitment to inclusivity.

The role of a Field Leader at Chipotle is a crucial leadership position tasked with overseeing multiple restaurant locations to ensure smooth, efficient operations and outstanding guest experiences. As Chipotle continues its rapid expansion, opening a new restaurant approximately every two days, the company seeks motivated and experienced leaders who can grow alongside the company. The Field Leader will partner closely with restaurant managers, providing guidance and support to uphold operational excellence and business growth. These leaders are instrumental in driving the company’s mission by fostering a culture that prioritizes food safety, employee development, and delivering exceptional customer service.

This position offers a competitive employment package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and opportunities for quarterly bonuses and people-development incentives. Alongside a commitment to career growth and advancement, Field Leaders receive additional support through tuition assistance, which covers up to 100% of select degrees or up to $5,250 annually. Providing tools to succeed, the role also includes the availability of a company car or mileage reimbursement, paid time off, and scheduled holiday closures.

The ideal candidate for the Field Leader position brings a friendly, enthusiastic attitude with strong business acumen, including proficiency in profit and loss management, food safety adherence, sales forecasting, and staffing. Passionate about team development, the Field Leader effectively leads through others, energizing and training employees, and fostering a food safety-first culture throughout all managed locations. A laser-focused commitment to the guest experience is essential, alongside being a collaborative team player ready to assist as needed. Previous multi-unit restaurant experience is required, as is the ability to communicate effectively in the primary language(s) spoken at the work locations. This dynamic role offers the chance to influence the fast-casual food service industry and be part of a company that is not only growing fast but continuously evolving in the way it serves its guests and supports its people.
