Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a renowned fast-casual restaurant chain dedicated to cultivating a better world by serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made with wholesome ingredients free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Founded with a mission to make better food accessible to everyone, Chipotle has distinguished itself by prioritizing quality, sustainability, and a commitment to community impact. With locations across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, the company is unique in that it owns and operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe, enabling consistent quality and brand experience.

Chipotle is not just a food service company; it is a pioneering leader and innovator in the food industry. The company emphasizes a people-first culture, hiring passionate employees focused on delivering an outstanding guest experience. They invest heavily in sustainable business practices and digital technology to streamline operations and enhance customer engagement. As a long-standing leader, Chipotle continues to challenge the norms of the fast-food industry by cultivating meaningful conversations about food sources, farming, and the future of eating.

The role of a Field Leader at Chipotle offers a compelling opportunity to grow with an expanding brand, as the company is rapidly scaling operations by opening a new restaurant approximately every two days. Field Leaders are pivotal to the company’s success as they oversee multiple restaurant locations, strengthening partnerships with restaurant managers, and ensuring operational excellence. This is a leadership role that requires a balance of business acumen, team development skills, and a relentless focus on the guest experience.

As a Field Leader, you will bring a friendly and enthusiastic attitude to the table while managing business operations like Profit and Loss (P&L) management, food safety, sales forecasting, and staffing. You will foster a culture that prioritizes food safety and continuously develop your teams by training and validating employees on critical operational elements. Your leadership helps build a motivated workforce, ensuring that each restaurant location upholds Chipotle’s high-quality standards and customer-centric values.

Chipotle offers a competitive compensation package for this position, with an estimated base pay ranging from $94,000 to $133,000 annually, complemented by quarterly cash bonuses and annual equity awards. Additional benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan, tuition assistance, paid time off, and even a company car or mileage reimbursement. Working as a Field Leader at Chipotle means joining a company that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, and that supports employees with accommodations as needed under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

If you have previous multi-unit restaurant experience and a passion for leadership, business, and food safety, this role invites you to be an integral part of a growing and innovative company that is changing the face of fast food. Join Chipotle and contribute to their mission to cultivate a better world by providing real, responsibly sourced food in a rapidly expanding operation that cares about every aspect of food quality, team culture, and community responsibility.
