The Field Laborer role at DFI is an essential position within the company’s field operations, particularly supporting the piling and drilling sectors. Field Laborers provide ground support and assist operators with equipment handling to ensure smooth and efficient construction and drilling activities. This role involves operating various types of heavy machinery such as wheel loaders, skid-steers, zoom-booms, and telehandlers, and performing equipment preventative maintenance, including daily inspections, greasing, and refueling. Candidates must be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions and should be adaptable to flexible schedules that meet the needs of DFI’s operations. The position requires a motivated individual capable of both independent tasks and teamwork, ready to contribute actively to the company’s ongoing success. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to follow safety protocols
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Ability to work flexible hours
Job Qualifications
- Valid driver's license, CDL an asset
- Must be eligible to work in the USA
- Field safety tickets are considered an asset
- Flexible work schedule to accommodate operational needs
- Motivation to work hard and get tasks done
- Comfortable working both independently or as part of a small team
Job Duties
- Provide labor support to operators in our pile division
- Act as a back up in operation of excavator & pickers when required
- Operate equipment on worksites such as
- wheel loaders, skid-steers, zoom-booms, and telehandlers
- Assist and perform preventative maintenance on equipment, such as
- daily inspections, greasing, and refueling
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
- All other duties as required
