Over the years, SHI has experienced continuous growth and now stands as a $16 billion company, serving over 17,000 organizations worldwide. As the largest minority- and woman-owned enterprise in the United States, SHI emphasizes its commitment to diversity, professional growth, and employee well-being. With a workforce of 7,000 employees, SHI offers world-class facilities and cutting-edge technology supported by comprehensive health, wellness, and financial benefits designed to ensure peace of mind for its staff and their families. This strong foundation underpins SHI's success in building meaningful relationships with clients through a concierge-style approach, helping organizations navigate and solve the world's evolving technological challenges.

The Field Events Specialist at SHI plays a critical role in coordinating and executing event logistics to support the company's marketing and strategic vendor initiatives. This role demands a collaborative mindset working alongside partners, managing budgets efficiently, and skillfully negotiating with vendors to ensure smooth and successful event experiences. The specialist is responsible for designing creative concepts, delivering hands-on customer service, managing promotional materials, and maintaining precise financial documentation related to events. Beyond logistics, the specialist facilitates communication among all stakeholders and supports the broader events team by stepping in as needed. Working under the Field Marketing Team, this position also includes responsibilities such as crafting marketing plans, executing marketing activities, supporting rebate and invoicing processes, and managing SHI's internal marketing portal. With a focus on contributing to SHI's strategic goals, the role involves creating compelling marketing communications in various formats and ensuring effective follow-through on event-related campaigns.

In addition to event management, the Field Events Specialist must possess strong behavioral competencies including multitasking, negotiation, collaboration, communication, organization, problem-solving, time management, follow-through, leadership, adaptability, and attentiveness to detail. Mastery of intermediate software skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM platforms, video conferencing, and travel management tools is essential for success. The role requires a proactive and positive attitude, the ability to work extended hours when necessary, and occasional travel commitments of up to 10-20%. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is also required. Being a key player in enhancing SHI's brand presence, the specialist contributes meaningfully across internal teams and external partners while aligning with SHI's values and high standards.

The position offers a competitive salary range between $50,000 and $70,000 annually, which includes a base salary and bonus potential. Compensation varies based on experience, knowledge, skills, and geographic location. Employees benefit from a robust package including medical, vision, dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, flexible spending accounts, and more.
