We are hiring a Festival Retail Manager and Driver for an exciting role focused on leading the planning, coordination, and execution of all festival events. This role is based in-person and offers an hourly wage between $18.00 and $20.00. This position requires someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple moving parts while ensuring that sales goals and guest satisfaction metrics are achieved. A key part of the role also includes supervising event staff and delegating tasks effectively, while maintaining high standards of guest service and compliance with health and safety standards throughout every event.
This leadership position involves hands-on involvement with cash handling, product performance reporting, and continuous improvement through detailed operational reviews. The successful candidate will leverage their previous retail or event management experience, particularly in fast-paced environments requiring exceptional customer service and inventory control. Their driving duties include the operation of a 15-foot roller gate truck to facilitate timely and efficient transport of materials and supplies to and from festival venues across Chicago.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven management experience in retail or events with a focus on planning and logistics
- Ability to lift 60 pounds comfortably
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a 15-foot roller gate truck
- Experience supervising teams in fast-paced environments
- Strong customer service orientation
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems
- Ability to coordinate and drive throughout Chicago
- Ability to adhere to health and safety regulations and licensing requirements
Job Qualifications
- Proven management experience in retail or events with a focus on planning and logistics
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising teams in fast-paced environments
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
- Experience handling inventory control and loss prevention
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory roles in restaurant or hospitality industries preferred
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a 15-foot roller gate truck
Job Duties
- Lead the overall planning, setup, and execution of festival events, ensuring all logistics are meticulously managed - truck rentals, loading, inventory organization and transfers, staff communication, etc.
- Supervise event staff, including selling strategies, task delegation, and overall performance oversight to maintain high standards of service and safety
- Oversee guest service to deliver exceptional experiences, handle guest inquiries, and resolve issues promptly
- Manage cash handling procedures during events, adhering to financial protocols
- Prepare detailed product reports on event performance and operational challenges for review and improvement
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and licensing requirements throughout all event activities
- Coordinate the reservation/rental of trucks for festival load-in & load-out, with the ability to drive throughout Chicago
- Maintain communication with General Manager and other Business Partners on all aspects of event logistics to ensure proper scheduling and coverage
- Adhere to time and attendance expectations while maintaining accurate record of hours worked for self and all staff while offsite
- During off season support warehouse operations
- Complete delivery of all store transfers to each location weekly
