The Feed Truck Driver (Synergy) role at Ag Plus is pivotal in maintaining the agricultural supply chain by ensuring the precise and timely delivery of bulk feed to livestock operations within the trade area. This position demands operating specialized feed trucks, coordinating delivery schedules with farm managers and mill personnel, and maintaining rigorous adherence to safety and quality standards. The role involves managing vehicle maintenance and compliance with transportation regulations to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency. The driver plays a significant role in supporting livestock health and productivity by guaranteeing a reliable feed supply. This position requires strong time management skills, the ability to work independently, and experience in commercial truck driving, preferably in feed delivery or agricultural logistics. The driver will also handle physical tasks such as loading and unloading feed and conducting vehicle inspections, contributing to operational excellence and customer satisfaction at Ag Plus.

Job Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL)
  • proven experience driving commercial trucks preferably in agricultural or bulk feed delivery
  • strong knowledge of vehicle safety protocols and transportation regulations
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as loading/unloading feed and conducting vehicle inspections
  • excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Job Qualifications

  • experience operating specialized feed delivery equipment or bulk feed trucks
  • familiarity with agricultural operations and livestock feeding requirements
  • basic mechanical skills for minor truck maintenance and troubleshooting
  • proficiency with GPS and route planning software to optimize delivery efficiency
  • strong communication skills to liaise effectively with farm staff and logistics teams

Job Duties

  • Operate feed trucks to deliver bulk feed to farms and agricultural facilities safely and efficiently
  • load and unload feed materials ensuring accuracy and proper handling to prevent contamination or spoilage
  • maintain detailed delivery logs including mileage fuel consumption and delivery times
  • perform routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly to maintenance teams
  • adhere to all federal state and local transportation regulations including hours of service and weight limits
  • communicate effectively with farm personnel to confirm delivery requirements and resolve any issues
  • assist with inventory management by reporting feed usage and stock levels to supervisors
  • ensure cleanliness and proper sanitation of the feed truck to maintain feed quality standards
