Job Description
Hotel Heron is a historic and stylish hotel located in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton. The hotel reflects a beautiful blend of its 1926 origins as the George Mason Hotel with modern upgrades and amenities. This 134-room boutique hotel boasts beautifully designed guest rooms, a signature ground floor restaurant serving Mid-Atlantic cuisine, a cozy craft cocktail bar, and an open-air seasonal rooftop bar offering exceptional views of the Potomac River. Located just minutes from Washington, DC, Hotel Heron provides travelers and locals alike with an inviting space to explore the rich history and vibrant culture of Alexandria. The property balances heritage and contemporary luxury to offer guests an authentic and memorable experience. Additional amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center and versatile meeting spaces designed to accommodate socializing, creativity, work, dining, and relaxation.
As a Multi-Outlet Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager, you will lead an outstanding team of hospitality professionals across multiple food and beverage venues within the hotel. Reporting to the Director of Food and Beverage, this exempt position challenges you to effectively oversee daily operations while maintaining exceptional service, quality, and brand standards. Your role will require you to collaborate extensively with outlet managers and culinary teams to harmonize guest experience and service delivery throughout the hotel’s diverse dining and drinking environments.
More specifically, you will be responsible for designing and continuously refining diverse beverage programs including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options that align with the hotel’s concept, seasonality, and market trends. Your expertise will be crucial in curating wine lists and bar menus and managing vendor relationships with a focus on cost control and profitability. This role emphasizes a strong leadership presence, requiring you to recruit, train, and mentor managers and staff, fostering a professional culture grounded in accountability and continuous learning.
The position demands a hands-on manager who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic atmosphere, is highly organized, and can lead with empathy. You will be expected to maintain compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations, and ensure cleanliness and operational excellence across outlets. Your leadership will extend to managing VIP and special event service and driving collaborative promotions to enhance the brand’s reputation and profitability. Hotel Heron values diversity and inclusivity, providing a respectful and progressive work environment where team members contribute their unique strengths to create remarkable experiences for guests. This role represents a unique opportunity to shape the food and beverage experience at an iconic property with a strong sense of community and innovation, embodying the Aparium Hospitality Services commitment to excellence.
