Hy-Vee seeks a motivated and friendly Fast & Fresh Clerk to join its Fast & Fresh department. This non-exempt position focuses on providing prompt, efficient, and courteous service to customers, maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the store, managing product quality and inventory, and ensuring an overall pleasant shopping experience. The role requires attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.

As a Fast & Fresh Clerk, you will be an essential part of the customer service team, engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner by greeting them, addressing inquiries, and assisting with various needs, including locating products and managing purchases at the cash register. You will operate cash registers accurately, process payments involving cash, checks, credit cards, and coupons, and handle merchandise stocking and inventory. Moreover, the role involves maintaining store appearance by cleaning different areas such as registers, restrooms, and floors, and performing tasks like snow shoveling and replenishing fuel pump supplies.

This position reports to several supervisory roles including the District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Manager, and Fast & Fresh Department Managers, working collaboratively to meet store goals and uphold Hy-Vee's high standards. While there are no formal education or experience prerequisites, physical capabilities such as lifting moderately heavy loads and performing diverse physical activities are required. The work environment can expose employees to temperature changes, dampness, and potential hazards requiring adherence to safety protocols.
