Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum two years relevant experience
- Valid driver’s license
- First Aid and CPR certification required or must be obtained within 60 days of hire
- Ability to work weekends during market season
- Ability to perform physical activities such as walking, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working outdoors in varying weather
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and events
- Must be able to pass background and driving record checks
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- Two years experience with market operations management or similar duties
- Valid driver’s license
- Current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
- Knowledge or familiarization with farmers markets
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with diverse groups
- Strong leadership, teamwork, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Ability to manage challenging situations with patience and sound judgment
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn market management software
- Basic knowledge of event coordination and logistics
- Confident in understanding and interpreting budgets
Job Duties
- Coordinate and oversee day-to-day market operations including vendor and community booth assignment
- Manage logistics of setup and breakdown
- Supervise volunteers and seasonal market staff
- Interface with public and vendors
- Collect and control fees and documentation
- Plan and schedule market activities such as musical performances, food trucks, and community groups
- Develop and manage vendor relationships including application screening, compliance monitoring, and issue resolution
- Solicit additional vendors and provide ongoing support
- Operate SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks programs ensuring vendor compliance and shopper education
- Serve as liaison to the Colorado Department of Human Services and LiveWell Colorado
- Provide content for and assist with execution of market marketing plan
- Maintain and update website and social media accounts
- Maintain basic financial records including fee collection and vendor financial reconciliation
- Oversee staffing and scheduling at market
- Assist with special events as needed
- Perform other assigned duties
