The Food and Beverage/Retail Manager role is a critical management position within Northgate Resorts, responsible for overseeing daily operations across food and beverage services, retail outlets, reservations, and special events at the camp-resort. This full-time position reports directly to the Assistant General Manager and involves managing subordinate staff to ensure memorable, fun-filled experiences for visitors. The manager plays a pivotal role in supervising team members to maintain high standards of customer service, budget adherence, and operational efficiency. The Food and Beverage/Retail Manager coordinates with the home office marketing and revenue teams to implement initiatives and promotions and to analyze sales trends for continuous improvement.
This role requires a hands-on leader able to manage various departments simultaneously while setting performance expectations, conducting training, and fostering professional development among staff. The responsibilities include managing food and beverage offerings such as full-service restaurants, food trucks, concession stands, and ice cream shops, as well as overseeing retail operations in the Ranger Station that features groceries, camping supplies, and souvenirs. Additionally, the manager assists in menu planning, food presentation, and sales strategies to optimize revenue and reduce waste. Strong managerial skills, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential for success. Job Requirements

- Two years of management experience
- Experience in customer service, hospitality, and management preferred

Job Duties
- Manage daily food and beverage service activities including quality and safety standards
- Oversee food and beverage inventory and budget control
- Analyze sales trends to promote products internally to increase sales and reduce waste
- Assist with menu planning and plate presentation
- Manage seasonal store supervisor and retail operations including inventory and promotion of goods
- Monitor sales trends to recommend merchandising strategies
- Implement sales strategies to reduce spoilage and overstock
- Conduct quarterly store inventory and assist with loss prevention
- Assist home office marketing with guest communications and camp-resort promotions
- Seek new initiatives to increase camp-resort sales
- Work with Revenue Manager on KPIs and trend analysis
- Establish standards and set performance expectations
- Hire, train, and schedule staff to meet budget compliance
- Coach team members for professional development
- Serve as Manager on Duty as needed
- Make day-to-day decisions for departments
- Coordinate and oversee projects from start to finish
- Collaborate with camp-resort and home office teams
- Respond to guest inquiries using service recovery guidelines
- Maintain professional appearance and attitude to ensure top customer service
- Perform tasks alongside supervised individuals
- Participate in other assigned projects and activities
