Job Description
The Bay Club Company (TBCC) is a renowned hospitality and lifestyle management company that excels in offering world-class amenities and service to its members. With a portfolio that includes premier athletic clubs, swim and racquet clubs, dining outlets, and seaside resorts, TBCC is recognized for cultivating exceptional member experiences that combine luxury with community. The company commits to fostering inclusive environments that value respect, responsibility, and continuous improvement, epitomized by its 'Code of Culture' which guides its team towards excellence in every interaction. TBCC's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is evident in its equal opportunity employment practices, ensuring all employees can thrive regardless of their background. This particular role is a seasonal Food & Beverage (F&B) Support Staff position compensated at $26.00 per hour, with the term expected to conclude on or before September 11, 2026.
The F&B Support Staff position at The Bay Club Company is a versatile, cross-functional role designed to uphold and elevate service standards across a variety of food and beverage outlets, including dining rooms, poolside areas, bars, and event spaces. As a critical team player, you will provide indispensable support through multiple functions such as hosting, bussing, food running, and bar backing, all with the goal of ensuring seamless service and an exceptional guest experience. This role supports service teams by guaranteeing sufficient coverage for breaks, maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards, and contributing proactively to the overall operational flow. In this dynamic position, an individual acts as a utility player, stepping into various support roles as needed, demonstrating adaptability and readiness to respond swiftly to service demands.
Success in this position requires a proactive, team-first mindset centered on asking, "How can I help?" and a dedication to maintaining high standards in all aspects of performance. You'll engage with both a la carte dining and private events, collaborating closely with front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure smooth communication and operational alignment. You'll be expected to participate actively in team meetings, training sessions, and company programs, embodying TBCC’s culture of respect, ownership, humility, and curiosity.
Day-to-day, your responsibilities will encompass pre- and post-service preparation including setting up service stations and stocking supplies, assisting with buffet maintenance, and ensuring all service areas meet cleanliness and operational standards. Host support involves greeting members and guests warmly, managing reservations and seating flow, and facilitating smooth guest transitions. As a food runner and expo support team member, you will ensure timely and accurate food delivery with proper presentation. Bussing duties include table clearing and resetting, maintaining tidy dining areas, and supporting servers with guest requests. Bar back support will require you to maintain an organized and stocked bar area, assist bartenders with replenishments, and help with glass polishing and station breakdown.
This role demands flexibility, including availability for varied schedules consisting of days, nights, weekends, and holidays. The physical requirements include the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move items up to 50 pounds, and perform activities such as stooping or kneeling. TBCC emphasizes a professional appearance and demeanor, with team members representing the brand through dress, communication, and timely follow-through.
