Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
- Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years experience in food and beverage operations
- ability to work in a range of temperatures from -10 to +110 degrees Fahrenheit
- physical ability to stand and move for up to 4 hours at a time
- ability to lift up to 45 lbs and push/pull equipment up to 250 lbs
- excellent communication skills
- intermediate computer proficiency
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- adherence to Azul Hospitality grooming and uniform standards
- regular attendance and punctuality
- compliance with all company safety and operational policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3-5 years experience in food and beverage operations
- excellent leadership skills
- strong customer relations capabilities
- detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills
- intermediate computer skills including knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, key system, and POS
- basic computational and budgetary analysis skills
- ability to analyze and foresee user needs
- excellent problem resolution and analytical skills
- thorough knowledge of food products, recipes, preparation, and quality assessment
- effective communication skills verbal, written, and electronic
- ability to conduct meetings and maintain communication between staff and management
- self-driven and able to work independently with a hands-on approach
Job Duties
- Support and supervise the hotel food and beverage outlets while collaborating with the F&B leadership team
- maintain communication with vendors and suppliers for timely rollout of seasonal food options
- participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual inventories and submit reports to accounting
- monitor quality of service and product
- cooperate in menu planning and preparation
- conduct orders of food and beverage supplies
- ensure attendance at all mandatory meetings
- lead and coach the team to achieve exceptional guest service and staff satisfaction
- maintain high energy, positive attitude, and professional appearance
- perform general cleaning tasks adhering to safety and health standards
- regularly review customer acceptance and recommend new operating and marketing policies
- continuously evaluate and improve staff performance
- maintain food product quality and consistency in delivery and standards
- arrange and supervise training of new staff including familiarization with property and procedures
- cross-train staff in all area positions and equipment
- ensure retraining as needed
- serve as a role model by adhering to policies and highest performance standards
- set exemplary conduct, punctuality, and work standards
