The hotel is part of Loews Hotels & Co, a renowned hospitality company founded in 1960, which operates iconic hotels and resorts across the United States. Loews Hotels are known for their dedication to providing exceptional service and distinctive accommodations in some of the country's most celebrated destinations. As a company, Loews is committed to fostering diverse and welcoming workplaces where all team members feel valued and empowered to grow in their careers. Whether you are a seasoned professional or just starting, Loews offers comprehensive opportunities across various departments, including Guest Services, Finance, Culinary Arts, and IT, among others.
At Loews New Orleans Hotel, we promote a culture of inclusiveness where each individual’s unique background, beliefs, and experiences are respected and celebrated. We strive to create an environment where every team member, regardless of age, race, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, veteran status, or disability, feels a strong sense of belonging. This commitment is reflected in our collaborative work culture and our dedication to equal employment opportunities.
The role within the hotel focuses on ensuring a superior guest experience by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and service. As part of our team, you will be responsible for conducting inspection rounds to verify that the hotel environment meets the expected standards of maintenance and presentation. Monitoring staff to ensure adherence to service protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and grooming standards is a crucial part of the position, which demands vigilance and leadership. You will assist the Team Leader in overseeing daily operational tasks, including side work duty completion, inventory counts, and communication between shifts. This role requires excellent organizational skills and proficiency in software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
In addition to operational tasks, the role emphasizes active communication to foster teamwork and guest satisfaction. You will be involved in managing staffing coverage, facilitating menu classes and taste panels, and ensuring safe working conditions. Handling guest checks and cash transactions responsibly is also a key responsibility. The position calls for a balance between supervising and stepping in to assist team members whenever necessary, ensuring seamless service delivery.
Loews New Orleans Hotel offers a comprehensive benefits package that enhances the overall employee experience, including competitive health and wellness plans, 401(k) retirement plans with company match, paid vacation and sick days, tuition reimbursement, pet insurance, and special team member hotel rates.
