The role of the Restaurant Supervisor at The Biltmore Hotel is integral to maintaining the high standards of service expected by our guests. This position requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring smooth day-to-day restaurant operations. The supervisor will be responsible for upholding the Biltmore Standard Operating Procedures (BSOP'S) to guarantee consistent service quality across all restaurant functions. This includes maintaining positive customer relationships to ensure 100 percent customer satisfaction, conducting regular training with staff, and ensuring the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained.

As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will be involved in a variety of tasks essential to effective restaurant management, such as handling employee relations, documenting and counseling staff, managing inventory and supply orders, and ensuring proper bar and food standards including presentation, quality, portion size, and timing. The role also involves using computer systems like Refine to update prices and menu descriptions and conducting monthly food and liquor inventory checks. Supervisors will assist managers in daily operations, oversee employee punctuality, grooming, and uniform standards, and participate in monthly staff meetings. This position is well-suited for those with a keen eye for detail, a commitment to teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that the restaurant operates efficiently while providing guests with memorable dining experiences safely and comfortably. This role requires availability to work varying schedules, including weekends, holidays, and potential overtime, in line with the dynamic needs of the hospitality industry.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • minimum two years experience in a high volume restaurant
  • completed Safe Serve Alcohol Vending Course
  • must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language
  • must be able to compute accurate mathematical calculations
  • must be able to provide legible communication and directions
  • must perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required
  • associate's degree preferred
  • minimum two years experience in a high volume restaurant

Job Duties

  • Maintain positive customer relationships to ensure 100 percent customer satisfaction
  • conduct daily and monthly training meetings with staff
  • daily check of facility maintenance for cleanliness and safety issues
  • handle employee-relation issues as well as document and counsel employees
  • adhere to, explain, and maintain policies/procedures in areas
  • maintain proper manning levels

  • use of computer program Refine to maintain and update prices and descriptions
  • daily bar check to ensure that they are clean, sanitized and well stocked according to par levels
  • ensure food standards such as proper presentation, appropriate quality, portions size and timing
  • attend monthly staff meetings
  • conduct end of the month food and liquor inventory at the end of every month
  • assist manager on a day-to-day operation
  • ensure that all the employees report to work on time, groomed and in proper uniform
  • assist manager with employee training
  • other duties as assigned
