Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- or a 4-year college degree and at least 3 years of related experience
- or a 2-year college degree and 4 or more years of related experience
- proficiency in Windows and company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
- knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health department rules, liquor laws and regulations
- ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
- maintain regular attendance and comply with hotel standards
- maintain personal appearance and grooming standards
- comply with safety and operational regulations
- ability to identify and solve problems
- maintain confidentiality of information
- availability to work long hours
- capable of exerting medium work lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- participate in manager-on-duty coverage as required
- maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Supervise and manage all food and beverage personnel
- respond to guest complaints in a timely manner
- participate in food and beverage budget forecasting and monitor department performance
- monitor industry trends and take appropriate action to maintain competitive operations
- coordinate and monitor loss prevention efforts
- prepare and submit required reports promptly
- conduct monthly, quarterly and annual inventories and submit reports
- organize and hold department meetings regularly
- monitor quality of service and product
- cooperate in menu planning and preparation
- ensure timely purchase of food and beverage items within budget
- oversee operations of the employee cafeteria
- ensure compliance with local liquor laws and health and sanitation regulations
- ensure departmental compliance with standard operating procedures
- provide training on procedures, report preparation and technical tasks
- interview candidates for food and beverage positions
- conduct and attend required meetings including pre and post-convention meetings
- ensure overall guest satisfaction
