Within this prestigious establishment, the Food & Beverage Manager plays a pivotal role in directing and organizing the entire Food & Beverage department to uphold and surpass the highest standards of quality, service, and marketing. The position is focused on maximizing profitability through outstanding customer service and efficient departmental operations. This managerial role encompasses planning and directing the administrative functions within the Food & Beverage operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol management standards at all times.

The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for implementing rigorous controls on food, beverage, and labor costs while overseeing the service and quality performance of all food and beverage outlets. The role requires active supervision, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation of department staff to foster a motivated, skilled, and customer-focused team. By maintaining close coordination with the Executive Chef and aligning restaurant operations with budget goals, the manager contributes significantly to the overall success of the hotel.

In addition, the manager ensures the maintenance of restaurant readiness, sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards, as well as effective guest complaint handling with diplomacy and professionalism. This position demands strong leadership in managing profit and loss, inventory control, scheduling in line with business forecasts, and maintaining excellent employee relations across departments. The Food & Beverage Manager also handles operational systems such as Micros for inventory and financial reporting, guaranteeing smooth and efficient outlet functions.

Job Duties

  • Administer the operation to achieve superior product and service quality
  • Oversee restaurant operations and coordinate with Executive Chef to improve functions
  • Perform daily inspections to maintain readiness and sanitation standards
  • Supervise and direct service to maintain safety and handle guest complaints diplomatically
  • Monitor budget, profit and loss management, and ensure adherence to financial goals
  • Schedule dining room personnel according to business forecasts while maintaining budget
  • Lead recruitment, training, performance appraisals, and motivate staff
  • Maintain equipment, facility, and grounds using preventive maintenance
  • Manage shift staffing and greet guests during shifts
  • Maintain inventory of equipment, linen, and supplies
  • Control Micros system for guest checks and reporting
  • Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of restaurant premises
  • Oversee food and beverage quality control and promotions
