The Food and Beverage (F&B) Shift Manager position at Emerald Queen Casino is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of food and beverage outlets during assigned shifts. Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Associate degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field
  • Four years of full-service food and beverage experience
  • One year of leadership experience in a high-volume hospitality environment
  • Ability to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Ability to obtain a Class III A license as required by regulatory offices
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug testing
  • Physical ability to stand or sit for up to 10 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to work in a smoke-filled environment

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Associate degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field
  • Four years of full-service food and beverage experience
  • One year of leadership experience in a high-volume hospitality environment
  • Preferred gaming experience
  • Preferred experience working with tribal entities
  • Additional education or experience may substitute for minimum requirements

Job Duties

  • Lead, coach, and manage food and beverage staff while maintaining schedules that ensure proper coverage and consistent, high quality guest service
  • Partner with kitchen leadership to ensure smooth, efficient shift operations and address operational or guest related issues promptly and professionally
  • Oversee inventory management, ordering, and cost controls to maximize resources, minimize waste, and prevent loss
  • Ensure compliance with all department policies, service standards, and applicable food, beverage, alcohol, and gaming regulations
  • Complete accurate shift reporting, payroll processing, and ongoing communication with leadership regarding performance, sales, guest feedback, and improvement opportunities
