The Server position at Aramark offers a key role in creating memorable dining experiences for guests. As a Server, you will be the heart of the dining environment, delivering exceptional customer service by greeting and seating guests in a friendly and efficient manner, taking and placing orders accurately, and ensuring that customer needs and requests are accommodated. Beyond basic serving duties, this role emphasizes making personal connections with guests to enhance their dining moments, particularly focusing on creating a positive experience for families and children.
This position requires thorough knowledge of the restaurant menu, product lines, and preparation procedures to effectively assist guests and support the kitchen and production team in maintaining food quality and presentation standards. Servers are also responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in both front-of-house and storage areas, performing various sanitation duties, and assisting in setting up and clearing down tables and service stations. The job demands working effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to multitask while following all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA safety policies.
The hourly pay rate ranges from $16.90 to $17.15, reflecting Aramark's good faith estimate of compensation. This role requires the ability to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends, and involves physical activities such as frequent walking, standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, and handling trays and other objects weighing up to 60 pounds. The Server must adhere to uniform policies and use personal protective equipment as required in the kitchen or dining areas.

Job Requirements
- Prior serving experience of 1 – 2 years required
- Able to pass a food handler certification exam
- Sufficient education or training to read, write, count and follow verbal and written instructions
- Be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure
- Available to work holidays and weekends as well as shorter or longer hours due to business volume
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, and stooping
- Expect constant walking and standing during shifts
- Occasional crawling and climbing
- Regularly lift and carry items weighing 20 to 40 pounds, including lifting trays overhead as part of serving duties
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
- The role will require wearing uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work inside kitchen area, interacting with heated equipment, various foods, loud noise, chemicals and other at risk conditions
- Exposure to extreme temperature changes
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Work effectively with team members to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth restaurant operations
- Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc
- Deliver exceptional customer service by striving to exceed guest expectations and focusing on creating a positive experience for children
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner
- Responsible for taking, placing and serving orders in an assigned section of the restaurant
- Possesses in-depth knowledge of the restaurant menu, product lines and preparation procedures
- Works closely with the production team to ensure that all food served to guests complies with presentation and quality standards
- Accurately operate the computerized cash register and be responsible for recording and handling all cash tips received from guests
- Ensure needs or requests are accommodated and allergy concerns are escalated
- Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the front-of-house environment
- Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area, including sweeping, mopping, washing, scrubbing, and polishing kitchen surfaces
- Assists in the set up and clear down of tables and service stations within the front of house operation
- Work in a fast-paced and multi-task environment with varying temperatures, both indoor and outdoor
- Assist with catering and special events as needed
- Adhere to the uniform policy
- Adheres to Aramark and client companies, San Diego County, and OSHA safety policies and procedures for proper food safety, sanitation, storage and disposal
