The Newbury Boston at One Newbury Street, located in Boston's prestigious Back Bay shopping and dining district, is an iconic property originally opened in 1927 as one of the first Ritz-Carlton hotels in the United States and formerly known as the Taj Boston. Recently transformed into a luxurious 286-room hotel, the property features 16,000 square feet of elegant event space, signature dining experiences, and a refreshed front entrance on Newbury Street. The F&B Manager at The Newbury Boston will play a vital role in coordinating, supervising, and directing all facets of the food and beverage operations. This position requires maintaining profitability while delivering high-quality products and exceptional service consistently. The manager will promote innovative business ideas, reduce employee turnover, adhere to budgetary guidelines for revenue and payroll, and ensure that productivity goals are met without compromising quality. This role offers a yearly compensation and is integral to sustaining the prestigious reputation of this storied hotel.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food and beverage management or related hospitality role
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Strong leadership and supervision skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Familiarity with local liquor laws
- Ability to manage budgets and payroll
- Capable of conducting staff training and performance evaluations
- Competent in conflict resolution and guest service management

Job Duties
- Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and employees at all times
- Oversee all daily operations of the F&B outlet
- Supervise outlet personnel
- Respond promptly to guest complaints
- Collaborate with other F&B managers and communicate issues effectively
- Keep immediate supervisor informed about any problems or important matters
- Assist with loss prevention strategies
- Prepare and submit timely reports including wage progress, payroll, revenue, employee schedules, and quarterly action plans
- Monitor quality of service in F&B outlets
- Participate in menu planning and preparation
- Ensure compliance with local liquor laws and health and sanitation regulations
- Enforce standard operating procedures and requisition policies
- Be visible on the floor and support staff during meal periods
- Conduct staff performance reviews
- Implement and monitor corporate promotions and buffet/three-meal concept standards
- Train employees on SOPs and job tasks
- Lead department and hotel training sessions
- Interview and hire front-of-house F&B candidates
- Complete tip reporting
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
- Oversee private events and in-room dining services
- Hold personnel accountable to standards and administer discipline and recognition as needed
