Job Description
The Food and Beverage Manager position is available at accesso ShoWare Center, a premier arena and event venue located in Kent, Washington. The ShoWare Center is well-known for hosting a variety of events such as concerts, sporting events, family shows, graduations, and other special gatherings, attracting thousands of visitors annually. As a facility under the broader Legends Global Food and Beverage Division, it emphasizes delivering top-level hospitality and guest service while ensuring operational excellence. The venue operates within a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires skillful management of multiple food and beverage operations including concessions, luxury suites, premium hospitality areas, bars, and catering services. The role is a part-time hourly non-exempt position with a competitive pay rate of $30-32 per hour, depending on experience.
The Food and Beverage Manager supports the Director of Food and Beverage by overseeing the day-to-day operations related to all food and beverage functions within the arena. This includes ensuring the highest standards of food quality, operational readiness, and customer service is upheld throughout every event the center hosts. This leadership role involves coordinating staff efforts, managing inventory and cost controls, enforcing compliance with health and liquor laws, and contributing to budget preparation using data such as sales, attendance, and labor costs. The manager also plays a crucial role in fostering a positive team environment and working collaboratively with other departments within the venue.
An ideal candidate for this position will be an experienced hospitality professional with a strong track record in managing high volume and premium service events, preferably within venues like arenas, convention centers, or stadiums with capacities over 5,000. The manager must be adept at using point-of-sale systems, inventory, and scheduling software, along with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite. They are expected to handle multiple priorities seamlessly while maintaining excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills. The position demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work flexible hours that often include nights, weekends, and holidays.
This role offers candidates the opportunity to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to providing exceptional guest experiences and maintaining the ShoWare Center's reputation as a leading event destination in the Seattle metropolitan area. Benefits including eligibility for 401K plans, medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid holidays at a premium rate, and sick leave accrual make this an attractive career opportunity. Individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment and are motivated to contribute to operational success and guest satisfaction will find this position rewarding.
