Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience as a food and beverage supervisor
  • previous experience in a property of similar size and nature
  • food and beverage product and equipment knowledge
  • current food handler card or in process of certification
  • ability to work under pressure
  • physical ability to lift and transport up to 30 pounds
  • constant standing and walking required
  • frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling
  • basic knowledge of the English language

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience as a food and beverage supervisor
  • previous experience in a property of similar size and nature
  • food and beverage product and equipment knowledge
  • current food handler card or in process of certification
  • thorough knowledge of food outlet operations including supervisory aspects
  • knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
  • basic knowledge of English language sufficient to communicate instructions and inquiries
  • ability to work under pressure and stressful situations
  • ability to operate beverage equipment

Job Duties

  • Ensures each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest friendly environment
  • ensures guest satisfaction scores meet or exceed goals
  • maintains favorable working relationships with all associates
  • works in a fast paced and customer service oriented environment
  • attends BEO, staff and food and beverage meetings
  • analyzes and monitors day-to-day operation reports, monthly and yearly financial statements, labor costs
  • performs special projects as necessary
  • plans and executes hotel sponsored events
  • tastes food and beverage products to ensure quality and consistency
  • markets ideas and promotions
  • monitors F&B computer POS systems
  • assists in monitoring cashier procedures
  • works job responsibilities of associates when business dictates
  • handles manager on duty responsibilities
  • controls flow of customers and interaction between front and back-of-house
  • ensures team members maintain brand standards and high levels of customer service
  • handles all customer inquiries professionally
  • maintains outlet scheduling and payroll
  • organizes and conducts pre-shift and departmental meetings
  • maintains communication with all departments
  • participates in marketing efforts, menu creation, competition surveys and food trend reports
  • monitors product quality and guest satisfaction
  • maintains profitability of outlet
  • controls payroll and equipment costs
  • ensures par stock levels and equipment maintenance
  • supports entire food and beverage operation
  • provides clean and safe environment
  • adheres to company policies and procedures
  • follows safety and security procedures
  • knows fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • utilizes protective equipment
  • reports unsafe conditions, accidents and injuries
  • maintains neat, clean and well groomed appearance
  • performs related duties as requested
  • assists other restaurant personnel when needed
