Job Description
Excel Hotel Group is a fully integrated property ownership, management, and development company that is experiencing exciting growth. This company prides itself on a family-driven culture, which forms the backbone of its operational and employee engagement philosophy. Excel Hotel Group is known for its commitment to excellence in hospitality, with a strong emphasis on providing exceptional guest experiences and fostering a positive work environment for its employees. The company manages a diverse portfolio of hotels and properties, driving innovation and high standards in hotel management and guest services. Their approach to business combines strong values with industry expertise, creating a rewarding and dynamic workplace for all team members.
We are currently seeking an experienced Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager to join our hotel team. This position is essential to overseeing and managing all food and beverage operations within the hotel, ensuring excellence in quality and service standards. The F&B Manager will play a vital role in planning strategies, managing staff both front of house (FOH) and back of house (BOH), and ensuring strict compliance with health and safety regulations. The role demands a leader who can enhance guest satisfaction at every step while meeting financial goals and optimizing operational efficiencies. This is a full-time position offering a competitive hourly wage between $30.00 and $34.00.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing food and beverage strategies that align with the hotel's business objectives, effectively managing multiple outlets such as the restaurant, bar, and coffee bar. Leadership responsibilities include mentoring and training the F&B team, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a team-oriented culture that encourages open communication and professional growth. The manager will collaborate with the culinary team to design innovative menus tailored to customer preferences and budgetary constraints, ensuring that offerings remain attractive and diverse.
Operational responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement of food, beverages, and related supplies. The role also involves comprehensive oversight of the hotel's point of sale (POS) system, cash handling procedures, scheduling and timekeeping for all F&B outlets, and tip reporting and distribution, all while maintaining compliance with financial and audit standards.
Customer service excellence is paramount; the F&B Manager will handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally, ensuring continuous improvement in service delivery. Staying abreast of industry trends and incorporating best practices to maintain a competitive edge also falls under this role. This high-responsibility position calls for someone who is punctual, resilient in a fast-paced environment, and capable of clear communication and strategic decision-making. Candidates should bring proven results in hotel F&B management, strong leadership skills, and certifications such as a valid Food Handler's card, TIPS certification, and ServeSafe Manager certification. This role offers excellent benefits, including medical, dental, life insurance, paid time off, and 401(k) with company match, along with travel discounts and growth opportunities within the company.
