Job Description
Trail Drive Management Corporation (TDMC) is a respected non-profit venue management company based in Fort Worth, Texas, specializing in comprehensive venue operations including event booking, event management, marketing, IT, technical services, food & beverage, parking, security, housekeeping, changeover, maintenance, and more. Managing multiple high-profile venues across Fort Worth, TDMC has a reputation for delivering exceptional experiences for guests and clients through dedicated teams and expert operational oversight. Known for its community focus and professional approach, TDMC plays a significant role in maintaining and enhancing Fort Worth's vibrant event and entertainment landscape.
Currently, TDMC seeks a full-time Food & Beverage Manager for the Will Rogers Memorial Center (WRMC), a key venue entrusted to its management. The Food & Beverage Manager position at WRMC is critical for overseeing all aspects of food service operations, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction and operational excellence. This role will demand close collaboration with culinary staff and various internal teams to seamlessly manage catering needs and concessions for a broad range of events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale functions.
The successful Food & Beverage Manager will lead the front-of-house food and beverage team, handling event-specific catering logistics, staffing schedules, and the daily cash procedures including supervising Point of Sale (POS) systems. This role requires strong leadership to maintain high standards of safety, sanitation, and compliance with all regulatory requirements related to food handling and responsible alcohol service. The manager will be expected to provide ongoing training and coaching, focus on guest satisfaction, and troubleshoot any service issues promptly to ensure smooth event operations.
A key responsibility includes adapting operational plans based on last-minute event changes and prioritizing multiple events simultaneously without compromising quality or profitability. The manager will participate actively in pre- and post-shift meetings, driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize service delivery. Inventory management and cost control are also essential duties, as the manager will oversee labor allocation, inventory tracking, waste reduction, and ensure readiness for consecutive day operations.
This role demands a dynamic individual with 3-5+ years of high-volume food and beverage management experience in venue environments, catering, or concessions. Proven competency in managing front-of-house teams and coordinating complex catering operations is vital. Strong communication skills are required to liaise efficiently with clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring all event requirements are met with precision.
Candidates must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of food safety, sanitation protocols, responsible alcohol service policies, and best practices in staff scheduling and financial reporting including POS systems. The ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays is mandatory, as is the readiness to work in environments with fluctuating temperatures, exposure to noise, and physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lbs.
The Food & Beverage Manager role at Will Rogers Memorial Center offers an exciting leadership opportunity to contribute to Fort Worth's premier event venue under the esteemed management of TDMC. The position promises engagement with a fast-paced, high-energy environment, providing ample scope for professional growth and making a tangible impact within the food and beverage operations of a key cultural and community asset.
