Job Description

The Proud Bird stands as one of Los Angeles' most iconic dining destinations, uniquely blending aviation history with next-level hospitality. This vibrant establishment is a reimagined aviation-themed food hall that combines a high-volume events center and offers panoramic views of the LAX runway, creating a distinctive setting that captures both the spirit of flight and exceptional culinary experiences. Celebrated by the Food Network as LA's Hottest Food Hall, The Proud Bird is renowned for delivering unforgettable moments through exceptional food, engaging service, and relentless innovation in a dynamic, multi-concept dining environment. Its inventive approach and commitment to guest satisfaction have cemented its reputation as a must-visit venue for locals and tourists alike.

As a Food & Beverage Manager at The Proud Bird, you will play a pivotal role in elevating daily operations across the food hall, bar, and events venue. This role is designed for someone who excels in managing multiple outlets within a high-volume atmosphere, blending hospitality finesse with the discipline required for contract services. You will be instrumental in leading, training, and motivating a diverse service team, ensuring adherence to the highest hospitality standards. Your hands-on approach will ensure seamless service execution, running shifts smoothly while maintaining focus on operational excellence and guest satisfaction. You will establish a strong floor presence, engage with guests to create memorable, personalized interactions, and handle guest concerns with professionalism and grace. Collaboration with culinary teams will be critical to maintain food quality, timing, and presentation standards.

The Food & Beverage Manager will also provide vital support for special events, working closely with Event Managers and Captains to coordinate flawless transitions between restaurant and banquet operations. You will oversee event-day restaurant support, managing flow, staffing, and guest experience during high-volume private events, corporate meetings, and social celebrations. From a business perspective, your responsibilities will include assisting with scheduling, labor management, ordering, and inventory control to ensure operational efficiency and financial success. The role requires a proactive mindset to uphold cleanliness, sanitation, and safety across all venues while supporting marketing initiatives and community engagement to drive sales growth.

Compensation for this role ranges from $70,000 to $80,000 annually, reflecting the importance of the position within The Proud Bird's innovative and service-driven culture. The company offers a lifestyle-forward benefits package including comprehensive medical and dental coverage, employer HSA contributions, a Lifestyle Spending Account, supplemental benefits, 401(k) with employer match, employer-paid life insurance, paid vacation, sick time, floating holidays, employee reward programs, education assistance, employee assistance, and referral bonuses. This role demands a service-driven leader who not only thrives under pressure but also brings energy, innovation, and dedication to the team. If you have 2-4 years of high-volume multi-unit restaurant management experience and are ready to take a leadership role in an iconic and progressive hospitality setting, The Proud Bird invites you to apply and soar to new career heights.
